USJF Junior and Senior Promotion Update. At the August 2012 Nanka General Meeting, the BOD approved adjusting the Kata requirements for Nanka Promotions for yudansha ranks of 1st Dan and above.  The BOD agreed to use the exact same requirements as used by the USJF. The previous Nanka promotion Kata requirements were different to those specified by the USJF and this created some confusion. This change will be effective from January 1, 2013. See attached table for Nanka and USJF Kata requirements for all Dan promotions. Keith Chu - Nanka Sr Promotion Committee  (Posted Nov 17, 2012)

USJF is getting very strict about filling out promotion applications.
1- Competitors needs to fill out #(4) MAJOR SHIAI RECORD.  If they do not fill out Major Shiai Record they are considered Non-Competitor, there for they will have to pay Nanka Non-Competitors fee).
Shiai records needs date/ month/ year, plus opponents name, rank and results

If applicant is a competitor and does not have Shiai record portion filled out, Nanka / USJF will not accept it and it will be send it back to the applicant as INCOMPLETE.
